My Story

About Me:

My Story

I went from struggling as a single mom working two jobs to paying off thousands of dollars in student loan debt and becoming financially independent.

Now, I am a successful blogger, content creator, and business strategy coach, sharing what I learned about passive income online with you.

But, that was not always the case.

I was working full-time in health care, spending seven nights straight at the hospital taking care of patients when COVID hit. My daughter was pulled from daycare, my husband at the time had his pay reduced, and I found out I was pregnant with my second child. The stress began to mount.

Stretched thin was an understanding. I picked up longer hours despite being pregnant and stayed up the majority of the day to look after my daughter after long, hellish night shifts in the ICU. She grew. My belly grew. Life passed by without me fully appreciating it or even noticing as I was too sleep-deprived to be able to care. As I came to the end of my pregnancy and then the birth of my beautiful son, nothing slowed down. If anything, it sped up. I was spread even more thin.

I returned within 9 weeks to work during the height of COVID’s second wave due to staffing shortages. I barely slept or took care of myself, as I made sure I was making money and taking care of my family. I had to provide, making up for my husband’s lost wages. I was pushed to the limit as my husband disappeared, leaving me with the kids. I was holding the bag of responsibilities already working overtime without any outside support.

That is when my health began to fail. One day, I collapsed. I had hit the limit. I found myself with adrenal failure admitted to the same hospital where I worked.

This was the moment I realized I was doing it all wrong. That what I was doing could not continue.

I physically could only do so much. I could only be working at one place at any given time which would limit my earning potential. As a newly single mom, I couldn’t let myself be limited. And, I could not kill myself working like a dog to line someone else’s pockets. It wasn’t for the lack of working harder, but the need to work smarter.

I had to learn to make money in my sleep. I became obsessed with passive online income

I tried everything. I did drop shipping, print-on-demand, digital art (before and after AI), Etsy shops with planners and journals, and multiple other gimmicks promising “passive” income pushed on social media by fake experts.

I spent over a year trying out one thing or another. At this point, I had taken a second job from home as things got tight. The only money I made was from my concerned mother, buying my Amazon self-published books.

That is when I had to change my approach. I stumbled upon digital marketing. I found several great resources and eventually the Digital Wealth Academy. I became obsessed with content creation, blog writing, and affiliate marketing.

It was something I could do in my spare time at night once the kids went to bed. I developed a content assembly process to streamline. I enrolled in the right applications to automate work, saving hours.

That’s when I felt relief! MY FIRST SALE … and it was not from Mom!

I could not contain the excitement. The enthusiasm for this newfound income exploded. I dove head in and started to grow my business. I started small and plugged away, slowly building a following. I made money and was able to start tackling my student debt, a payment I felt I was once drowning in.

Before long, my student loan debt was paid off and my income was doubling every couple weeks. I had found financial freedom and I had alleviated the stress of providing for my kids. I had found my own self-worth and power again while rediscovering precious time with my children.

Through various platforms and online marketing, I have been able to reach thousands of people looking for a better life. I had and will continue to construct resources and material to teach others how to build passive online income as well.

I hope to empower and provide the same hope for a bright financial future.
